Machined Aluminum 6061-T6 & 7075-T6 Parts, Aluminum Anodizing Available on Request

If you are selecting aluminum for structural components, CNC machined parts, bicycle frames, or aerospace fittings, you have almost certainly narrowed your choices down to two grades: 6061 and 7075. These are the two most in‑demand alloys in our factory, and they sit at opposite ends of the performance spectrum.

* 7075 is the strength champion — in the T6 temper, it boasts a tensile strength exceeding 570 MPa, making it one of the strongest commercial aluminum alloys on the market. It is the dominant material in aerospace, defense, and high‑performance sporting goods — applications where weight reduction is critical, yet load‑bearing capacity must never be compromised. The trade‑offs? It is difficult to weld, commands a higher price, and offers less corrosion resistance.

* 6061, on the other hand, is the versatile workhorse — offering excellent weldability, good corrosion resistance, respectable strength (310 MPa in T6), and a price tag that is typically 30–40% lower than that of 7075. It is the default go‑to for structural frames, automotive components, marine hardware, and virtually any scenario where fabrication flexibility matters more than ultimate strength.

Summary of Key Differences  6061 is a magnesium and silicon alloy, resulting in a balanced combination of strength, weldability, and corrosion resistance.  7075 is a zinc-based alloy, heavily alloyed with copper and magnesium to achieve very high strength, characteristic of aerospace-grade materials.
